LifeSim runs Conway's Game of Life on an infinite grid — the board never runs out, however far a pattern travels. Drag to scroll, pinch to zoom, tap a cell to turn it on or off.
Hundreds of known patterns are built in, from gliders up to the large engineered ones, and a quick-start tutorial covers the rules for anyone meeting the Game of Life for the first time. On iPad a side panel carries a map of where the live cells are, along with a log of what has been loaded.
